Who are you registered with?
I’m Ofsted Registered and can provide you with copies of my Ofsted registration certificate upon request (you’ll also see this in my certification and trainings folders). I’m also insured with PACEY.
Do you have a DBS check?
All Ofsted Registered Childminders require to undertake a DBS check. This is available upon request.
How long have you worked with children?
I’ve worked with children for over 10 years, this includes working in a nursery, as a nanny and as a childminder since 2014.
Who lives in the same household as you?
Currently my younger daughter lives with me, she’s registered as a Childminding Assistant and also has an up-to-date DBS check.
What kind of activities do you do with the children?
This will depend on the age and stage of the child, I try to do activities that are suitable for the individual child such as building blocks, painting, playdough, crafts – I also appreciate information for any activities that you feel your child would enjoy so that I can ensure that these are also part of their activities in my care.
Do the children get to spend any time outdoors?
My setting has a large garden where children can play but also, we do go to the park most days and also, do a daily trip to the library.
How many children do you usually look after?
Usually I look after a maximum of 4 children.
Do you charge for sick days?
If a child is unable to attend due to sickness, the contracted hours for that day are still chargeable. However, should I need to close due to my own illness, I will not be charging the contracted hours for that day.
What do I need to provide daily?
On a daily basis, you are required to bring: Nappies, wipes, spare clothes, appropriate footwear for outings and any creams that may be required to be applied to the child. You are required provide a packed lunch.
Do you provide meals?
My daily/hourly fee includes breakfast and healthy snacks, you are require to provide a packed lunch (I can re-heat food if required). however should you be unable to provide or forget to bring the packed lunch, I’m happy to provide this for a small fee of £2 per meal.
How many weeks a year do you work?
I work all year around with an exception of a week over the Summer Holidays (4 weeks notice is provided) and bank holidays.

Do you charge for late pick ups?
Yes, late pick ups are chargeable – this will usually be rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes. E.g. Pick up time is 6PM however, you arrive at 6:23PM, then the charge will apply until 6:30PM. For late drop offs, the usual contracted hours are applicable.
